The 7th Annual Pumpkin Run

    

     Each October, LMMF hosts our annual Pumpkin Run,  The Pumpkin Run is LMMF’s largest fundraiser of the year and features a 1 and 3- Mile Run, a 1 Mile Walk,  and a “Kiddie Fun Run” for children 7 and under.  Both competitive and recreational runners/walkers are encouraged to participate in the Pumpkin Run.  Family participation is also encouraged!

 

 

Date:  Saturday October 11th, 2008.  SAVE THE DATE!!!

Pre-Registration Fee: $10.00. To pregister and to view the 2008 Pumpkin Run brochure (coming soon)

Late Registration Fee:  $15.00.  9:30am-10:30am at Tyron Field in Rutherford

Featuring:  1 and 3-Mile Run, 1 Mile Walk and a Kiddie Fun Run (Face Painting & Balloon Animals), Free indoor/outdoor picnic immediately following the race!  Join us for food, live music, and a Tricky Tray Raffle!

Awards: Top men and women runners will receive awards.

Benefiting: Proceeds from the Annual Pumpkin Run will support the efforts of New Jersey State Organization of Cystic Fibrosis and the Lindsey Meyer Teen Institute, a leadership training program for high school students with an emphasis on alcohol, tobacco, and other drug prevention.  In addition, Pumpkin Run proceeds will benefits LMMF's Educational Scholarship Fund, which assists students at various high schools throughout the state. 

 


The 6th Annual Pumpkin Run

We wish to extend our heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to all those who attended our 6th Annual Pumpkin Run on Saturday.  It was our most successful event so far.  Thanks also go to our LMMF Executive Board, LMTI, Pumpkin Run Committee and to all the volunteers, contributors and supporters.  Thank you!  Thank you!  Thank you!

2007 Person of the Year Dinner

Each year, the Lindsey Meyer Memorial Foundation honors an individual for their selfless dedication to and notable impact on the Foundation or our mission.

This year, the Lindsey Meyer Memorial Foundation was pleased to honor Dennis Letsche as the 2007 Person of the Year.  Dennis has been instrumental in the forming and continuation of the Foundation and we are grateful for this opportunity to honor his dedication and commitment.

At the Lindsey Meyer Memorial Foundation (LMMF) Person of the Year Dinner honoring Dennis Letsche, Harold Nafash was our Master of Ceremonies.  James Guida, Deacon at St. Mary’s Church in Rutherford and President of the Kip Center Executive Board said the Blessing.

 

A special moment of the evening was the induction of Brian Moser into the Lindsey Meyer Honor Roll.  Brian’s mother, Berniece DeMerritt, was present to accept this honor. The Lindsey Meyer Honor Roll is dedicated to those who have lost their battle with Cystic Fibrosis. Other inductees include Dawn Letsche and Brian Letsche.
